Eglinton have confirmed they have signed Sri Lankan overseas player Lahiru Dilshan for the 2024 season.

He replaces South African Mike Erlank, who enjoyed great success at the village club.

"A very warm welcome to Eglinton Cricket Club Lahiru Dilshan, who is our proposed overseas Player for the 2024 season," wrote the club on their Facebook page.

"Lahiru comes from Sri Lanka and has played a couple of seasons for Workington Cricket Club in the North Lancashire league."

The 24 year-old is a middle-order right-handed batsman and right-arm off-break bowler who has a top score of 139 in first-class cricket.
