Laura Delany led the Typhoons to a three wicket win over the Dragons and to the top of the Super Series table in an entertaining match at The Hills.

Chasing 227, the Irish skipper shared a third wicket stand of 104 with Robyn Searle (45) after Bready seamer Alana Dalzell (3-36) had made early inroads.

Two wickets for Arlene Kelly left the Typhoons 7 down with 30 still needed, but Delany ensured the win, ending unbeaten on 98 (7 fours, 1 six).

Earlier the Dragons total of 226 owed much to their Irish internationals Amy Hunter and Orla Prendergast.

Teenager Hunter top-scored with 81 from 83 balls (8 fours, 1 six), adding 117 in 20 overs with Prendergast, who made 56 (4 fours).

New Zealander Georgia Atkinson took three wickets, while there were two apiece for Georgina Dempsey and Freya Sargent.

The next game in the series has Dragons hosting Scorchers at Stormont on Sunday August 20th.
