MAGEE MAGIC AS BREADY GO TOP OF THE TABLE

Bready moved clear at the top of the table, surviving a major scare against Strabane in the Tyrone derby before clinching the win in a match that was severely affected by the weather.

A crucial win that leaves Bready in pole position going into the final month of the season, acknowledged by Magee.

“It was very pleasing to get the win in a tight encounter against a side who caused us trouble in the Senior Cup,” said Magee. “It was never easy with the weather affecting the game reducing the overs, but it was great for myself and Dean to get us over the line in the end and get the points.”

Bready has been content to stay out of the limelight, but has hit the front at the right time.

“Our season overall has been a consistent one and it’s been good to see a lot of our younger players coming through and playing a key part.

“It’s going to be a tough run-in starting this weekend when we are home to Fox Lodge on Saturday and away to a strong Brigade team on Sunday. They are packed with a lot of experience and talent, so it’s going to be an exciting few weeks ahead for us, but we will just take each game as it comes.

“There’s been a good buzz around the club this year and of course we can look forward to the Sammy Jeffrey shield final next week at Beechgrove.”

Strap yourselves in, as it promises to be an enthralling conclusion to the season.
