Brigade won the North West Senior Cup for the fourth time in 6 years after a straightforward eight wickets victory over Newbuildlings on Sunday.

Brigade captain Andy Britton took five wickets in the second innings to leave his side needing just 37 in 20 overs (DLS) when play resumed on Sunday morning.

Trent McKeegan and Johnny Thompson each took a consolation wicket but there was never any doubt that Brigade would lift the famous trophy for a 15th time.

DD Barr got the nod for the Man of the Match, pipping Britton and the Macbeth brothers.

They have the chance to make it a cup double on Monday evening when they face Killyclooney in the Faughan Valley Cup final at Ardmore - that game gets underway at 6 o'clock.

It's also the final of the Women's Senior Cup - Bready host Fox Lodge in the decider - that too starts at 6pm.
