Saturday saw Sion make the trip to Donemana in search of a third straight win since the beginning of the season and promotion.

With the absence of new captain Andy Lucas, vice-captain Rian McKelvey took the armband and put Donemana into bat after winning the toss.

It looked to be an inspired decision as Sion dismantled the Donemana top order leaving them reeling on 17 for 6 with just 8.2 overs gone, however thanks to some lower order hitting, the home team managed to finish on 95 all out.

A modest total still but one which could have been worse given the start of the innings. Another superb display from the opening bowling duo of TJ Boyd (3-9) and Glenn McCallan (3-19).

After tea it was down to the batsmen to see the game home and despite an early wobble when the returning Darren Moan was bowled for one run, the pairing of captain for the day McKelvey and ex-skipper Simon Galloway were to all but seal victory, McKelvey scoring 50 with Galloway backing him up with 30 of his own.

Some lofty blows took the game away from a spirited Donemana side with Sion eventually finishing on 96 for 4 after 24 overs.

Another super victory for the Mill men who are proving themselves a force to be reckoned with this season again.
