Champions Bready started the defence of their Women's Premier league with a comprehensive win over newly promoted Bonds Glen. There were also opening night wins for Fox Lodge and Coleraine.

Alana Dalzell was the top scorer of the night, hitting nine boundaries in her unbeaten 91 as Bready posted 198 for 2.

She shared an unbroken third wicket stand of 165 in 15 overs with Kathryn Rough, who hit 6 fours in her 61 not out from 55 balls.

Lucy Thompson (2-30) was the pick of the Bee Gees attack and she top-scored with 27 as the Bee Gees made 79 for 6 in the reply - two wickets for Cody Wallace and Jodie Spence.

Mollie Devine was also in the runs as she hit an undefeated 59 to help Fox Lodge to 153 for 4 against Strabane.

She shared stands of 69 in 8 overs for the second wicket with Sarah Black (48) and 82 in 11 with Hannah Mclaughlin (35).

Lucy McGranaghan (38*) and Chloe Deans (26) added 54 for the second wicket as Strabane finished on 94 for 3, losing by 59 runs.

An opening stand of 54 in 15 overs between Arianna McKenna (24) and Lucy Carmichael (17) saw Eglinton score 82 for 4 in their home match against Coleraine.

It wasn't nearly enough though as Amy Caufield hit 5 fours in a top score of 39 not out, sharing a second wicket stand of 60 with Kenya McCartney (18) as the Bannsiders sealed an 8-wicket win the 14th over.
