BURNDENNETT GO INTO THE LION'S DEN

It was another loss for Burndennett at the weekend despite a century for Mark Pollock whose unbeaten 109 was in vain as they lost by seven wickets to Bonds Glen.

They now face a really daunting task as they have an away day trip in the Senior Cup at league leaders Donemana, for whom Dwayne McGerrigle scored 123 and took six wickets as they beat Eglinton.

“Saturday’s loss was disappointing,” said skipper Conan Pollock. “But a special mention has to go to Mark Pollock (109*) and Corey Roulston (59) who pulled us back from 2 for 3 to reach 224.

“Unfortunately we couldn't back up that effort in the field.

"As for Donemana, we will be massive underdogs but once again we look forward to the challenge and to making a day of it.”
