WINNING START FOR SION MILLS

Newly promoted Sion Mills picked up where they left off from last season, getting off to a winning start at home to Eglinton.

The visitors took first use of the track after winning the toss, but were soon deep in the mire as they slumped to 62 all out.

TJ Boyd and Glenn McCallan both claimed three wickets, while new skipper Andy Lucas snaffled four catches.

Sion romped to a nine-wicket win in just ten overs, with Rian McKelvey top scoring on 36 not out and skipper Lucas contributing an unbeaten 16 to secure maximum points.
