Orla Prendergast had a debut to remember scoring a match winning century as Western Storm beat Thunder in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.

The 20 year-old hit 11 fours and a six in a run-a-ball 115 as Storm chased down 214 to win by ssix wickets in the 42nd over.

The Pembroke a--rounder shared a third wicket partnership of 186 in 32 overs with England international Fran Wilson, who made an undefeated 74.

She is the fourth Irishwoman to make a century in overseas domestic cricket, joining Arlene Kelly, Eimear Richardson and Mary-Pat Moore.

The innings will have caught the eye of The Hundred coaches and fingers crossed the young student may get herself a pay-day to remember - if not quite as lucative as fellow Sydney Parader Josh Little's Indian Premier League deal.
