It was a historic 2022 for Newbuildings who won the Premiership and the Faughan Valley Cup, and just missed out on a treble after being beaten in the Senior Cup final by Fox Lodge.
Their captain Jared Wilson has moved on to pastures new in the NCU with Cliftonville Academy, while Jordan McCorkell has made the short switch to Bready.
They have acquired South African batsman Hanu Viljoen, and the 21 year-old comes highly rated from Northerns.
"We have quite a few promising young players coming through, and it wouldn't be fair to name one or two when I could name them all," skipper McKeegan told CricketEurope.
"We will just work hard on all aspects of our game and see where that leads us come the end of the season," added the wicket-keeper batssman who together with Johnny Thompson has enjoyed trophy laden careers.
Will they be able to replicate the success of 2022? It certainly won't be for the wat of trying.
They begin their season on Saturday April 29th with a home match against Strabane.
