Gaby Lewis and Arlene Kelly are the two front-runners for the Ireland Women's International Player of the Year Award ahead of the presentation night on Friday.

2022 winner Lewis was the leading run scorer in the year, making 812 runs at 31.23, hitting six half centuries.

Orla Prendergast overcame her injury to make 537 at 31.59 (3 fifties), while Laura Delany and Leah Paul were both centurions.

Skipper Delany took on the death bowling role and with some success as she managed 24 wickets at 22.04 to enjoy a fine all-round season.

New Zealand born Arlene Kelly enjoyed a great debut year as she topped the charts with 32 wickets at 20.97.

The international award is decided by the players themselves on a points basis collated after matches.
