Six current Irish internationals plus Irish born Australian all-rounder Kim Garth will be hoping for a place in the inaugural Indian WPL when the auction takes place on Monday.

Gaby Lewis - whose agent is former Irish international Niall O'Brien - would appear to be in with the best hope of getting one of the 30 overseas slots available in the five-team event.

She has a base price of 30 lakhs (30,000 pounds), as do the others - Irish captain Laura Delany, Mary Waldron, Arlene Kelly, Jane Maguire and Belfast teenager Amy Hunter.

They have survived the initial cull where the initial 1525 applicants have been reduced to 409 - 163 of them overseas players.

Garth will come face-to-face with her former Irish team mates when Australia and Ireland meet in the second and final T20 World Cup warm-up match in South Africa on Wednesday.
