Strabane's Aaron Gillespie was on top form as his blistering half century saw his RR Sedam side beat Mominpura Warriors by 104 runs in their T20 tournament in Hyderabad.

The North West Warriors and Ireland A international top scored with 66 from 47 balls, hitting 6 fours and 4 sixes as his side posted 193 for 5, and then bowling out their opponents for just 89.

Sedam had lost their two opening matches with Gillespie disappointed by single figure contributions in the games.

"We’re just starting to adapt to the conditions now it’s been a good week so far and nice to get some runs early on in the tournament after two low scores before," Gillespie told CricketEurope.

"So far it’s been quite enjoyable as we have been looked after incredibly well and to be able to experience Indian conditions is another great experience.

"So far we are 1 from 3 but still have another four group games to go and confidence is starting to build so hopefully we can build on our last performance and able to make the semi-finals."

Jared Wilson's good form in the tournament also contnued as he took five wickets and scored 20 runs without being dismissed in their last two games.
