Plain sailing for Ireland as they cruised to an 8 wicket victory inside 36 overs chasing down a Dutch total of 185.

Just two significant contributions from Babette de Leede and Frederique Overdijk in that Dutch innings which benefitted from a generous helping of 23 wides and a couple of no-balls!

De Leede and Overdijk added 75 runs for the sixth wicket but when de Leede departed Overdijk then could only watch as the next four batters were quickly dismissed, leaving her unbeaten on 47.

There was a steady start to the reply Irish openers Gaby Lewis and Leah Paul, adding 73 before Paul chopped on from leg-spinner Caroline Lange.

Amy Hunter came to the crease at number three immediately upping the scoring rate, and with Lewis into her stride and matching her shot for shot runs flowed freely.

Lewis was closing in on a deserved century but fell lbw to Overdijk on 92 as the 186 target got ever closer.
Amy Hunter completed a better than a run-a-ball half century and all that was left was for skipper Laura Delany to cut Iris Zwilling away to the boundary to seal the win and the series 3-0.

Orla Pendergast bowled only the 2 overs in which she took 2 wickets for only 4 runs, never to return, even when the Dutch were staging a middle order recovery.
There are of course three T20s versus Scotland starting in ten days time so perhaps a bit of 'managing her workload' going on, time will tell.

An emphatic series win which will be a real confidence booster as the squad head to Edinburgh.
