Pembroke clinched Group B with a six-run win against Railway, but it's tight for second place with The Hills five-run win over Trinity drawing them level with North County, who lost by one wicket against Phoenix.

Pembroke's total of 179 was down primarily to Poonish Mehta (42), Greg Hollins (34), and Lorcan Tucker (31).

For Railway, there were three wickets apiece for Alan Matthew (3-27), Hamza Maan (3-28), and Liam McCarthy (3-40).

The Park Avenue side came close in the chase, but fell six runs short in the final over.

Liam McCarthy (32), Alan Matthew (29), Hamza Maan (23), and last man dismissed Fakhar Zahman (25) all got starts, but couldn't quite finish the job.

Piyush Sharma (4-53), Poonish Mehta (3-22), and Donncha Tucker (3-44) took the wickets for the Sydney Parade side.

The Hills looked down and out in their match with Dublin University at Milverton as they slumped to 68 for 7.

However, a half century from skipper Tomas Rooney-Murphy and an unbeaten 43 from Athar Farooqi saw them add 89 in 23 overs as they recovered to 184 for 9.

Mikey O'Reilly took 3 for 40, while there were two wickets for Nigel Jones and Theo Dempsey.

Chasing a revised target of 165 in 41 overs, Nic Pretorius hit 52 to give the students the advantage, but four wickets for Dylan Blignaut, plus two for Rooney-Murphy and Levon Shields saw The Hills eke out a nerve jangling five-run win.

North County threw away a great chance as they lost another thriller, losing by one wicket against Phoenix.

Malcolm Nofal (91) and Jamie Grassi (42) gave them a strong start, but John Mooney's dismissal for 20, saw them lose five wickets for just 20 to finish 208 all out.

Irish internationals George Dockrell and Ben White each took three wickets, while there also two apiece for Conor Sheil and Tyrone Kane.

A third wicket stand of 94 between Stephen Black (62) and William Bennett (34) saw Phoenix very much in the ascendancy, and they looked to be coasting to the win after Adam Chester and Louis McDonough both made 23 in a sixth wicket stand of 52 in nine overs.

However with the finishing line in sight, nerves set in, with John Mooney (3-26) battling hard.

Eight were needed off the last over, so when Ben White struck a boundary off the fourth delivery following three singles, the scores were tied.

However White was run out off the fifth, and it took number 11 Sam Morris to get the run needed from the final ball of a pulsating game.

Malahide beat Terenure by 39 runs in the bottom of the table clash.

Fintan McAllister top scored with 79, as he and Ryan Hackney (51) shared a third wicket stand of 90 in their 198 all out.

Hilal Asad (4-34) and Seamus Lynch (3-32) best with the ball for the hosts.

Terenure were soon in all sorts of trouble at 48 for 6, with wickets for James Newland (3-19), Ravi Kumar (2-27) and Michael Frost (2-38).

They did rally with runs for Colm Morgan (39), plus 24 apiece for Lynch and Zubair Khan, but left themselves too much to make up, as they were 159 all out.

The final fixtures in the group see The Hills play Terenure, while North County host Railway Union, while Pembroke travel to Phoenix.
