There was drama at Rathmines with defending champions Leinster and YMCA tieing in the Women's Division One match.

Three wickets apiece for Georgina Dempsey and Robyn Lewis, plus two apiece for Alice Tector and Kate Woods saw the hosts dismissed for 105 - Jenny Sparrow top scoring with 21.

YM looked on course for a routine win as they reached 71 for 2 just past the midway point with runs for Jenny Gray (20) and Gaby Lewis (19).

Leah Paul scored a half century and took three wickets as Merrion beat Clontarf by 20 runs at Anglesea Road - runs too for Isobel Joyce (35) and Celeste Raack (27).
