Paul Davidge has been appointed Head Coach of the Typhoons for the 2022 Super Series competition which gets under way this weekend.

The 40 year-old Englishman replaces Clare Shillington, who stepped down from the role at the conclusion of the 2021 season.

The virtual unknown played primarily Minor Counties cricket as a wicket-keeper, and has been coaching for almost 20 years.

He will combine his new role with his current positions as Essex County Cricket Club’s Women’s Elite Eagles Programme Head Coach (U18 – 1st XI) and academy coach at Central Sparks.

He also coaches the counties for emerging players Academy wicket keepers.

Davidge will link up with the Typhoons squad ahead of Sunday's opening match against the Scorchers at Merrion.
