RUSH

  • Captain: Neil Rock
  • Vice-Captain Daniel Coffey
  • Overseas Professional: Llew Johnson (NZ)
  • Coach: Lynal Jansen
  • Ins: None
  • Outs: Nathan McGuire (Glendermott) Ehtesham Ahmed (Strabane)
  • Young players to look out for Finn McGee, Jack McGee and Brandon Morris

There was mixed news for Rush this past week with the news that Lynal Jansen was returning as a coach, while Nathan McGuire had opted to move to the NW to join Glendermott.

Irish international Neil Rock is captain once again, with Daniel Coffey his able deputy.

The arrival of New Zealander Llew Johnson will compensate for the loss of McGuire and Ahmed, with the highly rated 22 year-old from Otago expected to make a significant impact.

"It's great to have club legend Lynal Jansen returning in a coaching only role." said a Rush spokesperson.

"We have a great youth set-up and look out for Finn, Jack ,and Brandon after they showed encouraging signs last season. They will look to build and improve on that and have looked excellent in pre-season indoor nets.

"Promotion is the aim for this season and we feel we have a good blend of youth and experience to achieve that."
