Ireland Women could make history later this year if a proposed visit to Pakistan gets the green light.

Ed Joyce's side are in line to be the first Irish cricket team to play in the country, with the tour penciled in for late October or early November.

The dates are still up in the air due to the delay in ICC confirming the schedule for the T20 World Cup Qualifying tournament.

The teams are both in the ICC Women's Championship, and will play at least three one-day internationals.

Pakistan are vsiting Ireland this July, playing a tri-series at Bready along with Australia.

It's another major boost for the game here, after last week's news of increased contracts, a fixtures bonanza, and a three-year deal for Head Coach Ed Joyce.
