3rd T20I: Pakistan lost to Ireland by 34 runs
Lahore, 16 November.
Ireland 167/4 (20 overs; G Lewis 71, A Hunter 40, O Prendergast 37)
Pakistan 133 (18.5 overs; Javeria Khan 50, Nida Dar 26; A Kelly 3-19, L Delany 3-20, J Maguire 2-26)
Ireland Women after their series win against Pakistan (PCB)
Batters take a bow! Great stuff today from the Irish top three with openers Gaby Lewis and Amy Hunter putting on 110 for the first wicket. Lewis reaching 50 off 26 balls with boundaries coming on both sides of the wicket. With 87 off the first ten overs, the departure of both Hunter and Lewis in quick succession inevitably but a brake on the scoring but with Orla Prendergast taking up the reins, Ireland added a further 80 in the second ten. With Pakistan having a highest winning chase of 139 Ireland's 167/3 must surely have put doubts in the hosts minds. Scoreboard pressure told as opener Javeria Khan lost partners trying to keep up with the rate. When she departed it was left to captain Nida Dar to marshall the tail but it was too great a task even for her. A historic series win for Ireland after the disappointment of the earlier ODI's. When the batting comes off it is impressive, but come off it must, if the bowling, which was exposed and lacked threat in the longer form, is to have a total they can defend. But those are thoughts for another day. In the meantime it's celebrations in the Irish camp, a 2-1 win that could so easily have been 3-0. Well done the Girls in Green.

2nd T20I: Pakistan beat Ireland by 6 wickets
Lahore, 14 November.
Ireland 118/7 (17 overs; A Hunter 36, O Prendergast 20; N Dar 2-19, N Sandhu 2-21)
Pakistan 121/4 (16 overs; Javeria Khan 35, Nida Dar 28, Ayesha Naseem 25*) (Match reduced to 17 overs after a delayed start.)
Ireland let this one slip through their fingers - literally! Ireland went into the game with an unchanged XI after Saturday's win and were asked to bat by Pakistan. There's a fine line to be drawn between being 'positive' and being 'injudicious', and at times today Ireland crossed it. Two wickets, Orla Prendergast and Amy Hunter, fell to stumpings off the widest of deliveries, both yards down the pitch. And another two, Gaby Lewis and Arlene Kelly were both out, caught off leading edges playing across the line towards the leg side. In the end the 118 total could, and probably should have been greater, given that a number of batters got decent starts. Pakistan were just as 'positive' in the opening overs of the chase, but pressure built after some tight overs from Ireland that saw run-outs claim the wickets of Javeria Khan and Bismah Maroof. But it was certainly not one of Ireland's best fielding displays, despite Nida Dar becoming the third run-out of the innings, already having been dropped, a straightforward catch in the deep, on 19. It was left to Ayeesha Khan to save the day for the hosts, her 25* coming off only 12 balls, assisted, it has to be said, by some sloppy Irish fielding. And she finished the game in style with 6 balls to spare, hitting the biggest Six of the match over long-off. All square in the 3 match series in a game that Ireland should have won.

1st T20I: Pakistan lost to Ireland by 6 wickets
Lahore, 12 November.
Pakistan 135/5 (20 overs; N Dar 61, A Riaz 24; O Prendergast 3-10)
Ireland 139/4 (18.4 overs; G Lewis 69*, O Prendergast 39)
A hugely postive approach from Ireland in this format, totally at odds with their careful 'build a score' attitude in the ODIs, brought its reward. Ireland made a dream start in the field with Orla Prendergast taking three wickets in her four over opening spell. But Nida Dar fought back for the hosts and her 57 run partnership with Aliya Riaz ensured that Ireland would have a tough chase on their hands, as 81 runs came in the second ten overs of the innings. Amy Hunter replaced Leah Paul at the top of the order but dragged a catch off Nida Dar to mid on early on. Lewis and Prendergast added 55 before Prendergast dragged her foot out of the crease sweeping and was stumped. A crazy call from Lewis, who swept straight to square leg and charged off for the single left a hapless Delany two yards short, and with 21 needed Eimear Richardson slog swept a catch in the deep, but by then there was no stopping the Irish charge to victory. They were always ahead of Pakistan in the chase, and surely their approach today will set the pattern to be adopted in the next two matches. Lewis ended 69* off 54 (9x4), but it was that opening 3 wicket burst from Orla Prendergast and her 39 runs off 25 balls that set up a historic win for the Girls in Green, and earned her the POTM award. Two more games to come, on Monday and Wednesday, and on today's performance Ireland have every right to believe that a series win, even a whitewash is possible.
Orla Prendergast was the Player of the Match

ICC Women's Championship, 3rd ODI: Pakistan beat Ireland by 5 wickets
Lahore, 9 November.
Ireland 225 (49.5 overs; L Paul 65, A Hunter 41, G Lewis 39, E Richardson 28; Ghulan Fatima 5-35, Nashra Sandhu 2-40)
Pakistan 226-5 (47.1 overs; Sadaf Shamas 72, Bismah Maroof 57, Omaima Sohail 25*, Aliya Riaz 23; E Richardson 2-45)
Despite being given a great start by openers Leah Paul and Gabby Lewis, for the third time in the series Ireland failed to bat out their allotted 50 overs, if on this occasion, only by a single delivery. In a top-heavy innings Paul and Lewis added 84 for the first wicket and Amy Hunter and Paul a further 65 for the second. Paul became keeper Sidra Nawaz's second stumping within a few deliveries and 149/1 had suddenly become 151/3. There were still fifteen overs left in the innings, but only Eimear Richardson and Lara Delany's 5th wicket partnership, worth 41, provided any resistance as 5 wickets fell for 20 runs in the final overs. Leg-spinner Ghulam Fatima completing a maiden five-for, and left arm spinner Nashra Sandhu claiming two. It was Ireland's highest total of the series, but even this looked vulnerable to a strong Pakistan batting line up. Early success for Ireland as Muneeb Ali chopped on from Prendergast and Sidra Ameen played across the line to Jane Maguire and was dismissed for the first time in the series - her average 277! There was no luck however for Cara Murray, as in her third over keeper Waldron failed to hold two edges, and after that it was a case of untroubled progress for Pakistan as Shamas and Maroof built a partnership of 124. Both fell in quick succession to give Ireland a glimmer of hope, Pakistan needing 4 runs an over from the last 15 and with two new batters at the crease. But it was not be be as Omaima Sohail steered the hosts to a clean sweep in the series with nearly three overs to spare. Ireland's best performance of the series but the T20 matches coming up will be a test of their ability to score quickly enough to pose a threat to the hosts.

ICC Women's Championship, 2nd ODI: Pakistan beat Ireland by 9 wickets
Lahore, 6 November.
Ireland 194 (47.2 overs; M Waldron 35, A Kelly 34, A Hunter 30, L Delany 28, O Pendergast 24; E Richardson 23; G Fatima 2-32, N Sandhu 3-41, F Sana 2-26)
Pakistan 195/1 (32.4 overs; S Ameen 91*, B Maroof 69*, M Ali 27)
Ireland pair Arlene Kelly and Mary Waldron added 59 (PCB)
Not the start Ireland wanted after opting to bat after Friday's mauling. Leah Paul was bowled by Fatima Sana second ball of the innings, and then a becalmed Gaby Lewis tried for a quick single to mid-off, and was beaten by Aliya Riaz's direct hit. Friday's top scorers Laura Delany and Orla Prendergast could't repeat those performances but added 47 to take Ireland to 105 after 25 overs. Wickets fell to spin but Mary Waldron and Arlene Kelly put together a fifty partnership to give Ireland hope that 200 was again possible, but they fell just short. Pakistan showed no mercy and opened the batting again with Friday's centurions, Muneeba Ali and Sidra Ameen. No century today for Ali, as after a steady start, she fell to a Lewis catch off Eimear Richardson with 59 on the board. Ameen was on track for successive centuries but the fast scoring Maroof deprived her of that - Ameen has scored 267 so far in the series without being dismissed. Ireland's inabilty to pose a threat with the ball cruelly exposed again today, 2-0 to Pakistan with the final ODI to come on Wednesday.

ICC Women's Championship 1st ODI: Pakistan beat Ireland by 128 runs
Lahore, 4 November.
Pakistan 335-3 (50 overs; S Ameen 176*, M Ali 107*, S Shamas 29; A Kelly 2-62)
Ireland 207 (49.3 overs; L Delany 69, O Prendergast 29; Nida Dar 3-34, F Sana 2-24, N Sandhu 2-40)
An opening partnership of 221 in 33 overs gave Ireland an early taste of what they could be up against in this ODI series. Ireland rang the changes against Sidra Ameen and Muneeba Ali, with no fewer than eight bowlers trying their luck before Eimear Richardson made the breakthrough with the wicket of Ali, Arlene Kelly with the catch. Ireland's latest recruit, Kelly had a hand in all three wickets to fall as she also took the wickets of Aliya Riaz and Sadaf Shamas. An unrealistic chase for Ireland to attempt and their slow start suggested that they had settled for getting some time in the middle and achieving a total of around 200. That was indeed the case and a fourth wicket partnership of 69 between skipper Laura Delany and Orla Prendergast took them past 100. With Delany completing a half-century before falling to the off spin of Nida Dar. First blood to the hosts but valuable experience for the Irish who will line up for the second match in the series on Sunday.

Women's World T20 Qualifier Final: Bangladesh beat Ireland by 7 runs
Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, 25 September.
 Bangladesh 120/8 (20 overs; F Hoque 61; L Delany 3-27, A Kelly 2-17, C Murray 2-21)
 Ireland 113/9 (20 overs; A Kelly 28*; R Ahmed 3-24, S Magla 2-16, S Akhtar 2-20, N Akter 2-29)
Winners Bangladesh (ICC)
A good effort in the field by Ireland to restrict Bangladesh to 120 with Laura Delany taking three wickets at the back end of the innings ensuring that the tail did not wag. Fargana Hoque top scoring for Bangladesh with 61 while Arlene Kelly and Cara Murray each picked up a couple of the early wickets. Gaby Lewis went early again for just a single boundary, Amy Hunter and Orla Prendergast followed in quick succession and from there on it was a struggle. 'Spin to win' from Bangladesh and it did the job perfectly. It was hard to see how Ireland were going to recover from those early setbacks and with the Bangladesh spinners strangling the scoring rate the margin of victory flattered Ireland. They will look back and think that it would only have taken someone at the top of the order to get 20 or 30 to win this one. Arlene Kelly top scoring with 28* coming in at number 9 just about says it all. The consolation of course is that Ireland were already on the plane to South Africa with their semi-final win and they will be happy with that I'm sure.

Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, 23 September.

Ireland celebrate the four-run win (Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub)
Ireland held their nerve to edge out Zimbabwe by four runs in a tense semi-final to book their slot at the 2023 T20 World Cup in Cape Town. Batting first Ireland laid a solid base with runs at the top of the order from Orla Prendergast (28), Laura Delany (22) and Amy Hunter (19). The match defining innings came from Rebecca Stokell, who struck two sixes in a whirlwind unbeaten 26 from just 12 balls, which propelled the Irish to 137 for 6. Zimbabwe will reflect on a litany of missed opportunities which would cost them dearly in the final analysis. Player-of-the-Match Jane Maguire (2-18) bowled superbly in the chase, but the Africans kept themselves in contention with runs from Sharne Mayers (39) and Mary-Anne Musonda (31). Arlene Kelly (2-27), Eimear Richardson (1-25) and skipper Delany all kept their cool in the pressure situation, closing out the game to seal the win to spark off great celebrations.

Women's World T20 Qualifier Group A: Ireland beat Scotland by 19 runs
Tolerance Oval, Abu Dhabi, 21 September.
 Ireland 164/3 (20 overs; G Lewis 66, O Prendergast 55*, L Delany 29)
 Scotland 145/8 (20 overs; S Bryce 49, A Aitken-Drummond 23; J Maguire 2-19, C Murray 2-27)
Gaby Lewis and Orla Prendergast (Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub)
Half centuries from Player of the Match Gaby Lewis and Orla Prendergast took Ireland Women to a 19-run win over Scotland which sealed a semi-final berth for Ed Joyce's side. YMCA opener Lewis struck 13 boundaries in a top-score of 66 from just 37 balls to give Ireland the quick start they wanted after Amy Hunter (3) had gone cheaply. Lewis added 62 with Orla Prendergast, with the latter taking the mantle with skipper Laura Delany after Lewis departed. The pair added a further 63 to take the Irish to 164 for 3, with Prendergast making an unbeaten 55 from 46 balls (6 fours,1 six), and Delany 29. Two wickets for Jane Maguire had Scotland on the back foot and with the required rate soon climbing above 10, it was always a tough ask. Sarah Bryce made a fluent 49, but when she became the second of two wickets for Cara Murray (2-27), Scotland's hopes ended. Abbi Aitken-Drummond (23) struck a few late blows but all in vain as Ireland closed out the win. Ireland will likely face Zimbabwe in Friday's semi-final, with group winners Bangladesh in line to face Thailand. The semi-finalists will be confirmed later on Wednesday.

Women's World T20 Qualifier Group A: Ireland beat USA by 9 wickets
Tolerance Oval, Abu Dhabi, 19 September.
 USA 91 (20 overs; S Sriharsha 25, D Dhingra 23; A Kelly 2-17, E Richardson 2-19)
 Ireland 92/1 (13.1 overs; G Lewis 44*, A Hunter 43)
Gaby Lewis and Amy Hunter shared an opening stand of 91 (Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub)
Ireland eased to a comprehensive 9-wicket win over USA to set up a winner-takes-all clash with Scotland for a semi-final berth on Wednesday. A fine bowling display was backed by the fielders - four run outs restricting their opponents to 91. There were two wickets apiece for Arlene Kelly (2-17) and Eimear Richardson (2-19), while skipper Laura Delany strangled the innings, conceding just six runs in her four over spell. The chase was a nerveless one, with Gaby Lewis top-scoring with an unbeaten 44 (4 fours), sharing an opening stand of 91 with Amy Hunter (43) which was ended when the scores were level. All to play for then for Ed Joyce's side, who in all likelihood will face Zimbabwe if they prevail - the Africans getting a surprise win over Thailand.

Eimear Richardson top-scored with 40 for Ireland (Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub)
Ireland couldn't overcome the loss of star batter Gaby Lewis first ball as they lost by 17 runs to tournament favourites Bangladesh at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Chasing 144, Lewis was bowled off her pads, and was quickly followed by Orla Prendergast. The Irish rallied with Amy Hunter (33) and Laura Delany (28), but as the required rate went into double figures, Ed Joyce's side were always playing catch-up. Eimear Richardson struck some lusty blows as she top-scored with 40 from 26 balls (4 fours, 1 six), but despite a valiant effort, they finished on 129. Bangladesh had recovered from a slow start to make 143 for 4, with Joty hitting 10 fours and six in her 67. She had added 72 with Sultana (48), and with wickets in hand the Tigresses were able to add 39 in the final three overs, which was to prove crucial in the final analysis. Ireland are back in action tomorrow (MON) when they take on USA in their second group match (4pm).
Other Match: Ireland beat Papua New Guinea by 38 runs
Tolerance Oval, Abu Dhabi, 16 September.
 Ireland 142/7 (20 overs; A Hunter 45*; K Arua 2-23)
 Papua New Guinea 108/5 (20 overs; K Arua 22*, S Jimmy 22; A Kelly 2-18)
Amy Hunter
Amy Hunter's 45 ensured Ireland go into Sunday's T20 World Cup Qualifiers on a winning note after a 38-run win over PNG in their second warm-up match in UAE. Hunter made 45 from 37 balls (3 fours, 2 sixes) before retiring. There were also double figure contributions from Shauna Kavanagh and Orla Prendergast who made 17 apiece, while there were also runs too for Eimear Richardson (14) and Gaby Lewis (13) in their total of 142 for 7. PNG never seriously threatened the total, despite 22's from Jimmy and Arua. With the ball, there was two wickets for Arlene Kelly (2-18), with the other successful bowlers being Eimear Richardson (1-21) and Cara Murray (1-22) as PNG were restricted to 108 for 5. Bangladesh are Ireland's opponents in the opening match, followed by group games against USA on Monday and Scotland on Wednesday.
Other Match: Ireland beat Papua New Guinea by 60 runs
The Sevens Stadium, Dubai, 13 September.

Orla Prendergast scored 38
Ireland made a morale winning start to their T20 World Cup warm-ups with a 60-run win against Papua New Guinea under the floodlights of the Sevens ground on the outskirts of Dubai. A strong batting display saw Orla Prendergast top score with 38, while Gaby Lewis and Laura Delany each made 32 - the trio all retiring as Ed Joyce's side posted 168 for 3. The Irish used nine bowlers in restricting their opponents to 108 for 9, with two wickets for spinners Rachel Delaney and Cara Murray. They will play another warm-up against the same opposition, before the real business of tournament qualification starts on Sunday against top-ranked Bangladesh.
3rd T20I: Scotland v Ireland: no play

2nd T20I: Scotland lost to Ireland by 16 runs (DLS)
The Grange, Edinburgh, 6 September.
 Scotland 126/8 (20:overs; S Horley 44, C Murray 2-20)
 Ireland 44/1 (5 overs; O Prendergast 17*, A Hunter 16*) (Par score after 5 overs was 28)
Gaby Lewis at the toss (Ian Jacobs)
As in the first match it was Saskia Horley who made the only significant contribution for the Scots with 44. There were two wickets for Waringstown’s Cara Murray while the Scots’ cause was not helped by three run-outs. The Irish lost Gaby Lewis early in the chase, bowled by USA born Rachel Slater, but Amy Hunter and Orla Prendergast steered the visitors to 44 in the 5 overs that were possible before thunderstorms swept up through Edinburgh ruling out any further play. The final game in the three match series takes place on Thursday again at The Grange.
1st T20I: Scotland lost to Ireland by 8 wickets
The Grange, Edinburgh, 5 September.
 Scotland 133/6 (20 overs; S Horley 52, A Lister 25; A Kelly 2-12)
 Ireland 137/2 (16.2 overs; O Prendergast 75*, L Delany 36*; K Fraser 2-31)
Orla Prendergast was Player of the Match (Ian Jacobs)
An unbeaten 75 from Orla Prendergast led Ireland to a comfortable eight-wicket win against Scotland in the first match of their three-game T20I series at The Grange. The Pembroke all-rounder hit 11 fours and a six in her highest score for Ed Joyce's side, sharing an unbroken third wicket stand of 99 with skipper Laura Delany (36*), as Ireland chase 133 to win with 22 balls to spare. The Scots total owed much to Australian-born debutant Saskia Horley (52), who shared a fourth wicket stand of 65 with Lorna Jack (18), while Ailsa Lister had earlier hit a rapid 25. Arlene Kelly (2-12) was the pick of the Irish attack, while there was a wicket apiece for Laura Delany, Georgina Dempsey, Eimear Richardson and Leah Paul. The teams meet again on Tuesday at the same venue (1pm).

Gaby Lewis who scored 92 in her 100th match for Ireland. (KNCB)
A steady opening partnership of 73 between Gaby Lewis and Leah Paul, who was the more watchful of the pair, her 27 taking 63 deliveries, the basis of the win. With Amy Hunter joining Lewis the scoring rate upped considerably, their century partnership taking only 85 balls as they matched each other stroke for stroke. Lewis fell lbw on 92 to Frederique Overdijk and with Hunter completing her half century all that was left was for skipper Laura to cut Iris Zwilling to the boundary to seal the win.

An improved batting performance by the Dutch but there was only going to be one winner after that record strewn Ireland innings. Waringstown's Cara Murray proving too much of a handful for the home side as she collected a five-for and Rachel Delaney a brace. Ireland two-nil up in the series and looking to make it three when the sides meet again on Friday after a trip down the road to the lovely setting of Voorburg.

A comprehensive win for the Ireland in the first of the three match ODI series against the Netherlands who were bowled out for just 84. Three wickets each for Rachel Delaney and Arlene Kelly and two for Cara Murray with only Frederique Overdijk making it into double figures. Runs at the top of the order for Gaby Lewis (25) and even a double strike for the Dutch with the score on 49 and another on 64 couldn't prevent Ireland cruising home Orla Prendergast finishing unbeaten on 24.

The historic game deserved a special innings and Prendergast delivered with 101 from just 58 deliveries, which included 14 fours and a six. That propelled Ed Joyce’s side to 188 for 6, with Leah Paul making 26, and Lara Maritz 24. Hannah Lovegrove’s 3 for 29 the pick of the visitors' attack. Gaby Lewis and Cecelia Joyce were guesting for MCC, but their joint contribution was a paltry two runs – both dismissed by Kate McEvoy (2-11). Skipper Elysa Hubbard top-scored with 24 in their total of 114 for 7, with Emma Beamish, another former Irish international making 10. Wickets for Georgina Dempsey (3-41), Celeste Raack (3-42), and Jess Mayes (2-39) had the Dragons in early trouble at 53 for 5. However, a sixth wicket stand of 147 in 20 overs between Arlene Kelly (87) and Cara Murray (75) put a much healthier look to the scoreboard. Kate McEvoy chipped with an unbeaten 45 as the Dragons ended on 280 for 8 in the final match of this year’s series.

Laura Delany top-scored with an unbeaten 83 (Oliver McVeigh)
An amazing collapse saw the Dragons lose seven wickets for just 11 runs to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in their Super Series clash at Holywood against the Typhoons. Chasing 234 for victory, the Dragons looked well on course as half centuries from Sarah Forbes (65) and Orla Prendergast (57), plus 30s from Leah Paul and Arlene Kelly took them to 205 for 3. However the batting card thereafter took a binary look as six players scored 0 or 1 to leave them 216 all out – four wickets for Robyn Searle, plus two each for Louise Little and Laura Delany. The Irish skipper hit 11 fours in her unbeaten 83 from 72 balls, with runs too for Searle (45). A feature of the innings was the Dragons fielding, which saw no fewer than four run outs. The next action is at Pembroke on Wednesday.

Jess Mayes (2-16) and Ava Canning (2-27) each picked up two wickets. Sarah Forbes (26) and Naomi Matthews (19*) took the Dragons to 177 for 5 – two wickets apiece for Lara McBride and Georgina Dempsey. Mary Waldron hit 44 from 28 balls (6 fours, 1 six), but fell to a stumping by Hunter, who has been preferred by Ed Joyce for keeping duties in the upcoming tri-series. She showed exactly why, completing five dismissals, four of them stumped in a superb Player-of-the-Match display. Leah Paul and Cara Murray each took two wickets as the Dragons saw out a 41-run win.

The three Dragons players from the North West, Mollie Devine, Zara Craig, and Alana Dalzell.
The Dragons won their second match of the week, in much similar fashion to the first, falling over the line after a comfortable win looked on the cards. The Scorchers, without their free-scoring captain Gaby Lewis in the line-up, struggled as Arlene Kelly (2-9) struck two early blows. Anna Kerrison batted throughout the innings for 32, while Sophie MacMahon made 29 (4 fours), and Christina Coulter-Reilly (20*) in their total of 105 for 5. Skipper Leah Paul (40) and Amy Hunter (34) broke the back of the chase with an opening stand of 55, before a dawdling Hunter was run out by a direct hit by MacMahon. The Scorchers kept chipping away, but the Dragons were always sure of the win despite the late wobble, clinching the four-wickets win in the 18th over.

Amy Hunter reaches her fifty
Amy Hunter’s hard-hit 69 ensured the Dragons beat the Typhoons by five wickets despite a late wobble at Rathmines. The Belfast teenager struck 6 fours and cleared the ropes twice in her 50-ball innings. Chasing 138, Hunter shared an opening stand of 59 with Leah Paul (20), and 72 with Sarah Forbes (35) for the second wicket. Three wickets in an over for Celeste Raack (3-22), and a second for Georgina Dempsey (2-34) gave the scorecard a closer look than the match was in reality, as the Dragons eventually clinched the winning runs with ten balls to spare. Earlier, Laura Delany had rescued the Typhoons innings after Leah Paul’s 3 for 23 had seen them slump to 41 for 4. The Irish captain hit seven fours in a top-score of 53 from 42 balls, adding 84 in 11 overs with fellow international Ava Canning (26*).

Gaby Lewis led from the front as the Scorchers won both their T20 Super Series matches at Anglesea Road. The highlight of the day was another century by the skipper – her fourth of the season in all competitions – as the in-form YMCA batter launched an assault on the Dragons attack. Chasing 157, Lewis clubbed 20 fours and a six in a brilliant unbeaten 104 from just 49 balls. She dominated stands of 94 with Bev Devchand (23) and 67 with Rachel Delaney (26*) as they won by nine wickets in the 16th over. Earlier the Dragons innings of 157 for 7 was set up by an opening stand of 132 between Amy Hunter and Leah Paul. Hunter hit 9 fours and 2 sixes in her 71 from 48 balls, while Paul’s unbeaten 65 from 55 balls included 7 fours. The run out of Hunter saw the Dragons innings falter, with just 25 runs coming from the last five overs – Ellie McGee of Rush taking 4 for 14.

North West lost by 4 runs
The closest game of the week saw the NCU clinch second spot in the tournament as they edged out the North West by four runs and condemn the hosts to the wooden spoon. Such was the fine margins between the four sides that all were in contention for the trophy well into the second innings on the final day. Jemma Gillan (47) and Abbi Harrison (45) shared a second wicket stand of 66 to put the NCU in a strong position, but Cody Wallace’s six-wicket haul saw them collapse to 172 all out. Zara Craig (2-11) took her competition tally to 11, the best by far of the week. A third wicket stand of 115 between Mollie Devine (67) and skipper Craig (38) looked to be taking the hosts to victory at 139 for 2, before both fell in the space of four balls and as the pressure increased, the young hosts just failed to clinch the win, losing by four runs – three wickets for Jemma Gillan (3-26).

It’s all to play for on the final day of the Future series after hosts NW and the NCU both caused shocks as they beat their highly fancied Leinster rivals. Zara Craig produced a superb spell of five wickets for just nine runs as Leinster were bowled out for 112. Charley Scott (3-21) was also in the scalps as the Dubliners were reeling at 55 for 8, despite a top-score of 25 from Christine Coulter-Reilly. They rallied with a ninth wicket stand of 56 between Sarah Condron (23) and Maria Kerrison (22), but a final total of 112 felt under par, Leinster came out firing, with both openers back in the hutch quickly. However Mollie Devine proved the match winner, hitting five boundaries in her 56. There were some late nerves as the finishing line drew near, but double figures contributions from Lucy Neely (13), Zara Craig (11) and Jemma Rankin (10*) sealed the win.

The hosts were well placed at 81 for 2 just past the half-way stage with runs for Arianna McKenna (28) and Mollie Devine (20). However they slumped to 103 all out with Freya Sargent (3-13) and Aimee Maguire (3-18) doing the bulk of the damage. Isobel Light (21) got the Dubliners reply off to a solid start, but the introduction of Zara Craig (4-14) changed the complexion of the chase. Two run outs, plus a wicket each for Kia McCartney and Mollie Devine had the game in the balance, but Leinster’s 9th wicket pair of Alice Tector and Niamh McNulty got them over the line.
