A record T20I stand of 113 between Gaby Lewis and Kim Garth helped Ireland return to winning ways with a nine wicket win against Scotland to end the Quadrangular tournament on a winning note.

Chasing 127, Ireland lost Rebecca Stokell (10) early but the impressive Lewis thumped 12 boundaries in her unbeaten 65 from just 39 balls.

She found the perfect ally in Garth who found the boundary five times in her undefeated 47 from 33 balls.

The pairs second wicket stand of 113 in 65 balls broke the record set earlier this week by Lewis again and opening partner Orla Prendergast.

Lara Maritz was the star with the ball, as the Clontarf teenager had the superb figures of 3 for 4 in three overs to peg the Scots back to 126 for 7 after they had been given a flying start by Sarah Bryce (49).

The win will be a major morale boost for the Girls in Green after a tournament which has seen them lose three times in a week.

They can hopefully now take this momentum into the T20 World Cup Qualifiers later this month in Scotland.
