CSNI edged out Bready by 18 runs in the semi-final of the All-Ireland U17 boys cup.

The win was set up by CSNI openers Ryan Hunter and Harry Dyer who shared an opening stand of 91 on the way to a total of 150 for 5.

Hunter top-scored with 55 from 44 balls (8 fours), while skipper Dyer hit five boundaries in his 48-ball 54.

James West chipped in with 14, while best with the ball for the home side were Jamie Mutch (2-26) and Aaron Cooke (1-28).

Bready were always behind the required rate but did well to make 132, with skipper Jonathan Orr top scoring with 26 and James McMorris making 24.

James West's three wickets helped stall any hopes Bready had of a late surge.

CSNI will now face Merrion in the final with the date and venue still tbc.
