Jersey have retained the inter-insular title after a 173 run win over old rivals Guernsey today at the KGV cricket ground in Guernsey.

Jersey were put into bat by home team captain Matthew Stokes, and their innings was built around a mammoth unbroken 208 run partnership between Jonty Jenner and Zak Tribe, the first 200 partnership in the 73 year history of the inter-insular match.

Tribe finished unbeaten on 96 from 76 balls, whilst Jenner top scored with 116 from 94 balls, the first century in the fixture since Jeremy Frith scored 129 for Guernsey in 2011. The final total for the visitors was 316-4.

In reply, only Matthew Stokes (31) and Zak Damarell (30) made significant contributions for the home side as they were bowled out for 143. Ben Stevens was the pick of the Jersey bowlers with 3-19 as Jersey completed a 173 run win.
