Colin Siller has been appointed as part of the coaching staff for the new South Asian Cricket Academy which is being run in conjunction with Cricket Scotland.

The experienced Siller is the lead seam coach Scotland for the new venture which will see him operate alongside Kyle Coetzer, Majid Haq, Ramzan Mohammed, Usman Saeed and Sai Majeed.

The programme, which will be based at the National Cricket Academy in Edinburgh and Hutchesons’ Grammar School in Glasgow, will run throughout the winter with a SACA squad to be selected at the end of the trials. 

From this squad, the best players will have the opportunity to train with and represent the SACA First XI, who play against various counties in England.

Siller has coached Irish youth teams, as well as the national teams of Austria, Rwanda, Sweden, and Fiji, as well as being a consultant with Cricket Canada during their successful qualification for the 2007 World Cup.
