The latest CWC League 2 tri-series resumed today after yesterday's rest day and it was a good one for the hosts as they recorded a straightforward win over Nepal.

The visitors won the toss and chose to bowl first. They started well keeping Namibia to 34-1 from their first ten overs. After Lo-handre Louwrens was bowled from the first ball of the eleventh over, the home side began to take control.

Michael van Lingen and Gerhard Erasmus put on 99 for the third wicket before the latter was out for 53, and another 90 came from the fourth wicket pairing of van Lingen and Jan-Nicol Loftie Eaton before Loftie Eaton was out for 40.

Van Lingen batted until the penultimate over of the Namibian innings before he eventually fell for 119, scored from 111 balls, his highest List A score. That helped Namibia record 275-7 from their 50 overs with Lalit Rajbanshi taking 4-36.

Nepal's captain Rohit Paudel top scored in their run chase with 44 but they were bowled out for 189, losing by 86 runs. Six Namibians took at least one wicket - including van Lingen who took 1-14 to go with his century.

This leg of the ongoing league will conclude tomorrow when Scotland take on Nepal with a win for the Scots securing their place at the global qualifier for the 2023 World Cup.
