The CWC Super League series between Netherlands and Pakistan continued today at VOC in Rotterdam with Pakistan securing a 2-0 series lead after a low scoring game.

Dutch captain Scott Edwards won the toss and chose to bat first. The top three were quickly dismissed within the first four overs before Bas de Leede and Tom Cooper set about rebuilding the innings.

The pair put on 109 for the fourth wicket, taking the total from 8-3 to 117-4 before Cooper was caught by Mohammad Nawaz off his own bowling for 66. De Leede tried to shepherd the tail but no other batter made a significant contribution.

De Leede was last man out having scored 89, his highest score in ODIs. The Dutch total was 186, a low total but better than the start suggested it would be. Haris Rauf was the pick of the Pakistani bowlers, taking 3-16 with Mohammad Nawaz also picking up three.

The Pakistani chase started in similar fashion to the Dutch innings with openers Fakar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq both removed cheaply by Vivian Kingma. This was followed by Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan putting on 88 for the third wicket before the former was out for 57.

There the similarities with the Dutch innings ended though as Rizwan and Agha Salman put on an unbeaten 92 to secure the seven wicket win. Salman scored 50 from 35 balls, whilst Rizwan finished with the top score, an unbeaten 69.

The series concludes on Sunday at the same venue.
