The Cricket World Cup League 2 reached the century mark in terms of games played today at Mannofield Park as Scotland took on the United Arab Emirates, the hosts batting first after UAE captain Ahmed Raza put them in.

Matthew Cross (85) and Calum MacLeod (77) were key in Scotland’s innings and they scored 254-9 from their 50 overs, with six of the seven UAE bowlers taking wickets.

Vriitya Aravind Was the top scorer in the UAE reply with exactly 50, but the Scotland bowlers were able to defend their total. Mark Watt was the pick of the bunch, taking 5-33, his best bowling figures in ODI cricket.

UAE will next be in action tomorrow, concluding their trip to Scotland with a game against the USA. The tri-series concludes on Wednesday when Scotland play the Americans.
