Bready and Waringstown will meet in the final of the Ulster Plate after wins against CIYMS and Donemana.

At The Lawn, batting first Donemana made a strong start with Graeme Boyd top-scoring with 48, sharing half century stands for the third and fourth wicket with Joe Robinson (42) and DJ Dougherty (22).

However, they lost their last five wickets for just 11 runs to be bowled out for 176.

Rory Bessell had the excellent analysis of 6 for 23, while there were two wickets for Josh Frogatt (2-22).

Bessell (18) then shared an opening stand of 47 with Shane Burke to get the chase off to a steady start, before being dismissed by Dougherty.

That was to be the end of the success for the North West side as Lee Nelson joined Burke to take the match away from them.

The pair shared an unbroken second wicket stand of 130 as they passed their target in the 33rd over.

Nelson hit 8 fours and 3 sixes as he top-scored with 79, while Burke hit five fours in his unbeaten 60.

Bready overcame the challenge of CIYMS at Magheramason with teenage opener Gavin Roulston top-scoring with 60 (7 fours) in their total of 221.

There were runs too for Dean McCloskey (37), James McKillop (29), and Ryan Clarke (24).

Best with the ball for the Belmont side were Adam Maitland and Patrick Dorian, who each claimed three wickets.

CIYMS got off to a strong start with Nathan Burns hitting 6 fours and 2 sixes in his 51, while Jed Dornan made 40 as the game was very much in the balance.

However, they tailed away badly, with three wickets for Marc Fleming and two for Matthew Collum sealing the 46-run win.

The final is scheduled to be held in the NCU region on Sunday August 28th.
