The ACC Women’s T20 Championship continued today in Malaysia with the hosts and Nepal winning their second games.

Nepal batted first in their match against Kuwait and owed much of their 107-4 to an unbroken 60 run partnership between Indu Barma and Rubina Chhetry, the latter of whom top-scored with 34. Priyada Murali scored 31 in Kuwait’s reply but it wasn’t enough as they were kept to 82-7, losing by 25 runs.

Malaysia’s win came against Qatar, who were put in and bowled out for 69, captain Aysha top scoring with an unbeaten 33. Malaysia knocked off the required runs in 12.3 overs without losing a wicket, Wan Julia top scoring with 31.

There was an even more convincing win earlier in the day when UAE bowled Singapore out for just 29 with Chaya Mughal and Esha Oza both taking three wickets. Oza then scored 29 not out in 14 balls as the UAE chased down their target in 2.4 overs to win by ten wickets.

The other match of the morning was the closest match of the day. Hong Kong batted first and after losing opener Shanzeed Shahzad for a duck were able to score 102-8 with Mariko Hill top scoring with 40. Some tight bowling at the end of Bhutan’s reply helped keep them to 88-7, a 14 run defeat.

Just two matches will be played tomorrow. Hong Kong will play Bahrain in the morning whilst Oman will take on Qatar in the afternoon.
