A half century from Faiz Fazal propelled Lisburn to an emphatic ten wicket (DLS) win over Cliftonville Academy, as they joined North Down at the top of the Premier League.

David Simpson accounted for South African professional Dom Hendricks for just a single, and CA never really got going against a disciplined Lisburn attack.

Max Burton top scored with 29, including the only six of the innings, while David Reid and Matthew McCord both hit 19 in a modest total of 94 for 8 in their 20 overs.

Neil Whitworth (2-13), Mark Berry (2-16), and Josh Manley (2-17), did most of the damage for Lisburn.

Rain meant a reduced target of 74 in 14 overs, and it proved little trouble to in-form Indian professional Faiz Fazal, who once again ensured no dramas in the chase.

He raced to his half century in 38 balls, hitting 3 sixes and 3 fours, sharing an unbroken opening stand of 74 with Jonathan Waite (10*) as they secured the win in the 11th over.

Lisburn won't have the chance to win again today as their scheduled match at home to Carrick has been postponed to the Lord Mayor's Show in the town.
