The Croatian Cricket Federation (CCF) is extremely excited to announce that former England international player Darren Maddy has been named Croatian coach for the ICC Men’s T20 2024 World Cup Europe Sub-Regional Qualifier Tournament in Helsinki, Finland 10-20 July.

Darren has a wealth of international cricket experience as both player and coach all around the world in all conditions. As well as representing the England national team Darren had a magnificent First-Class County Cricket career with Leicestershire and Warwickshire, which he also captained.

Darren's all round talents in the T20 format were so successful that he was affectionately known as 'Mr Twenty20' when he was playing in County Cricket T20 tournaments in England in the early 2000's.

Croatian Cricket Federation President Mate Jukic said, 'We are thrilled to have someone of Darren Maddy's knowledge and expertise coaching our national team in Finland. Darren is a great ambassador of the sport and his knowledge will be invaluable to our squad as we continue the development of Croatian cricket at international level'.
